Here's what's getting in the way...
Whichever way you define it:
1. freedom from labour, pain, or physical annoyance; tranquil rest; comfort.
2. freedom from difficulty or great effort; facility.
3. freedom from stiffness, constraint, or formality; unaffectedness.
4. freedom from concern, anxiety, or solicitude; a quiet state of mind.
They all sound pretty good, but it’s the latter I’m especially drawn to.
I don’t mind effort, I can put the work in, and one must, if one wants to get good at something, known for something, create great value in the world from our craft.
AND, I can do without the unhelpful, discouraging, energy-draining mind chatter that often comes with “efforting”.
“what if I’m not good enough?”
“what will people think of me?”
“It haven’t done enough”
“I should give up now it’s bound to fail”
Easeful? Hardly?
What if it WAS easeful?
Not effort-LESS, let’s not be unrealistic.
But what if you did what occurred to you to do, one simple, straightforward step, after another, with a quiet mind, and a beautiful feeling?
Moving forward with momentum, and sometimes back, when you misstep, but without the accompanying abuse that stops you from trying something different.
What would be possible then?
Not just in what you’d get done, the value you’d create, but in the way it would feel, and overflow to those around you?
Sounds impossible? Give dropping the chatter a try, or come along to next week's Masterclass: Lead with Ease & Energy on June 24 to learn more.
Or test it out with a group of fellow experimenters, on July 11th, for our next Community Coaching call. Newcomers are welcome every month.
