August 2024 marks the one-year anniversary of B Corp certification for Lead Powerful Impact, celebrated with our first Impact Report.
What a year!
Having certified with 130 points for FY 21-22, I had a feeling that would be the easy bit. How to top that and continue to grow in impact for people, planet and prosperity? No pressure at all for 22-23!
And I’ve come to learn, and regularly pass on to coaching clients, that pressure does no good at all. Neither does trying to do the right thing. What does seem to work, is loving what I’m doing, tapping into my passion for happier, healthier, impactful leaders and teams, and trusting that I’ll know exactly what to do next, to accelerate the impact of my business and the ecosystem around it.
The result? A year with 39% more impact (measured imperfectly by revenue) which means not only more supported leaders and teams, and more B Corp certified businesses, but also more donated to The Hunger Project to elevate poverty, more advocacy for better business and more pro bono coaching for non-profits. All while curtailing carbon emissions and creating good work for others in my business and my clients'.
Creating good work is one of my biggest drivers!
2022-23 highlights run from the hyper-local to global and include: being shortlisted for Green Champion at the Glasgow Business Awards; collaborating with fellow B Corp Connect Three to train Glasgow Council Advisors and Institute of Directors on sustainability; impactful leadership keynotes at conferences and corporate away days, and coaching leaders on a mission from Ukraine to Uganda, Melbourne to Malawi, Sheffield to Somalia.
Lead Powerful Impact Ltd. may be a micro-business, but our impact is limitless. With the incredible support of the B Corp community, guidance of the B Corp Framework, and collaborations with like-minded clients and partners - we will continue to accelerate our impact and leave the world in a happier, healthier place.
