I just remembered to turn my wall calendar over to October. The month has flown past with three long weekends away, a wedding, a hen, six friends (and a dog) hosted, in-person workshops and networking, long-awaited catch up drinks and coffees with potential clients and collaborators. And all that around 70+ zoom calls and client consulting work.
I used to wear business as a badge of honour - and though it's a hard habit to kick - I know this isn't sustainable. My health, wellbeing, creativity and energy to serve others were all painfully at risk these last few weeks (as fun as it's been!) so I just took a day to myself to rest, re-organise, de-clutter, refocus and kick my ass in the gym.
I basically had a lockdown day - sleep, exercise, long walk in nature, a focused half-day's work, healthy food. And it reminded me that any day can be like this if I make it so.
Time to run a stress-free business. A lifestyle business that works for me. If not, what the h*ll am I doing this for?
What are you missing from #lockdown days? And how can you bring that back?
